這次我要來介紹活用ChatGPT學習英語的方法。除了還沒有使用過ChatGPT的同學外，我也會向想要找尋合適的英語學習方法的使用者提供有用的情報。

ChatGPT是什麼？

ChatGPT是什麼呢？我們要從如何開始使用以及免費與付費版的差異等基礎事項來看。

首先什麼是ChatGPT？

ChatGPT是美國一間名叫OpenAI的公司在2022年11月推出的能夠生產自然句子的AI聊天服務。它能夠針對你的提問給予彷彿人類般的自然回答，所以可以用對話的感覺來輕鬆使用它。

開始使用ChatGPT的方法

開始使用ChatGPT的方法非常簡單。在官方網站上輸入你的電子郵件等資訊就能夠創建帳號並快速地使用。

但是，它的利用規範有年齡的限制。它規定使用對象的年齡必須在18歲以上或是得到監護人許可的13歲以上孩童，請各位注意。

ChatGPT在電腦或手機、平板等裝置都能使用。在使用iPhone或Android等手機時安裝ChatGPT APP會比較方便。ChatGPT APP也有對應語音輸入的功能，也可以用來體驗更真實且實用的英語學習情境。

ChatGPT是免費使用嗎？

ChatGPT可以免費使用，但也有付費版本。

付費版本的「ChatGPT Plus」每個月需要20美元才能夠使用（2024年4月）。免費與付費在幾個地方上會有所差異。

例如免費版是根據到2021年9月為止的學習資料為基礎來運作的「ChatGPT-3.5」。

而付費版則是利用「ChatGPT-4」版本，它對應了最新的資訊且精準度也更高，使用者能夠更舒服地使用。

ChatGPT外掛程式與GPTs

另外，使用付費版的話，你還能追加使用含有各式各樣功能的方便工具「ChatGPT外掛程式」。例如，在英語學習者之中，有很多人會加入並活用能有效學習語言的ChatGPT外掛程式「Speak」。

再來，對於學習英語很有用的ChatGPT新功能「GPTs」也是僅限付費版能夠使用。

「GPTs」是讓ChatGPT能夠根據自己喜好進行客製化的服務。各位只要到ChatGPT的側邊欄「Explore GPTs（探索GPT）」，就能夠看到其他使用者公開的GPTs。能夠用來學習英語的GPTs有「My English Teacher GPT (For B2 level) By community builder」或「Language Teacher | Ms. Smith By tevfik.xyz」等。

這裡讓我們一起來看如何使用ChatGPT將自我介紹改成自然的英語表達。

在實際使用ChatGPT的時候，我們必須輸入名叫「prompt」的指令句給它。雖然ChatGPT的指令句即使是輸入中文也ok，但難得都在學習英語了，不如去習慣輸入英語吧。

具體來說，各位可以在ChatGPT的畫面輸入接下來的句子。粗體字的部分是指示句。

“I am a freelance writer. I like my current job because I can work from home and have the freedom to control my own time. ” Could you help me make my English sound more natural?

「我是一名自由作家。我喜歡現在的工作，因為我可以在家裡工作，還能夠掌握自己的時間。」你可以幫我讓自己的英語能夠聽起來更自然嗎？

這樣ChatGPT就會回答接下來的句子。

我們假定為「在餐廳詢問推薦料理」、「在旅館辦理入住」、「與朋友一起聊有趣的話題」等場面來試著使用ChatGPT來練習英語對話。

那麼，讓我們一起來看具體的例子吧。首先是向ChatGPT傳達你想要練習英語對話。範例的指令句如接下來所示。

ChatGPT即便你一直問個不停，它都會不厭其煩地為你解答。所以如果有不懂的地方都可以問看看喔。用英語提出問題並閱讀回答都是很好的學習方式。

假設為商業英語來進行模擬

接著讓我們一起用ChatGPT來模擬商業英語吧。例如，「客服中心與顧客的對應」、「在會議中的應對」、「與客戶的交涉」等，各位可以假定自己想要用英語練習的場景來跟ChatGPT練習對話。

這裡我會以「客服中心與顧客的對應」來當作指令句的範例，我先介紹最一開始的對話部分。

首先是資訊的精準度。

雖然生成式AI技術的精準度有越來越高的趨勢，即便如此也還說不上是完美。

因此，在使用ChatGPT進行重要的調查時必須注意。特別是使用免費版的時候，ChatGPT給出的回答是否正確，請仔細地確認事實再加以利用。

再來是利用免費版ChatGPT的時候，如同前面所說的它是利用到2021年9月為止的學習資料為基礎來進行運作的「ChatGPT-3.5」，所以沒有辦法得到最新的資訊。這點必須請各位小心利用。

但如果是用來自學英語的話只要免費版就足夠了，但如果是商業使用ChatGPT的話，我推薦各位使用付費版。因為它比免費版的精準度還要更高，而且也能反映最新的資訊給各位。

隱私問題

接著是資訊洩漏的問題。用ChatGPT 學習英語的時候，最好不要輸入個人資訊與公司的機密情報。

雖然OpenAI公司對於隱私有一定的處理對策，基本上不用擔心資訊洩漏的問題，但也不是沒有被駭客攻擊的可能性。實際上ChatGPT的帳號盜用事件也曾發生過。

另外，輸入過的資訊會經過AI學習，也有可能會在其他使用者提問時作為回答使用，所以重要的情報不要輸入會比較好。特別是練習商業英語的時候，注意不要不經意間就輸入公司正在開發的案子進去。
