要向他人拜託什麼事情時，用
Can you〜？
就可以很清楚的表達了，但用 Could you〜？
的話就會顯得更有禮貌。
我向美國人詢問後，他說一般比較常用的是start (the meter)。
因為想盡可能地避免一切與費用有關的紛爭，所以就先勇敢的和司機交談吧。
想把行李放進後車廂時
在台灣，如果司機看到你有很大的行李，即使不用說，他們也會馬上來把行李放進後車廂。
不過，在國外，如果你沒有自己說的話，他們常常不會注意到。
【例句】
“I have my baggage. Could you put it in the trunk?”
「我有行李。可以請你幫我放進後車廂嗎。」 “We have three suitcases. Could you put them in the trunk?”
「我們有3個行李箱。可以請你幫忙放進後車廂嗎。」

在台灣，下計程車時雖然也會道謝，但在國外除了道謝之外通常還會再加上一句Have a good (great) day，所以之後在道謝時再加上這句會更好喔！
如果是你被說了前面的Have a good (great) day
（Have a 之後接的會依據狀況而有所不同。例如你是去旅行，就會是Have a good trip.。）
這句的情況，就回 Thank you, you too.等，如果道謝的同時也說了「你也是」的話，就會給人很好的印象喔。

（謝謝。）

（要到哪裡呢？）

（請到100街999號的Top飯店。）
D：Alright.
（我知道了。）
Y：Can you start the meter？
（可以請你打開計費表嗎。）
D：I’ve already started it.
（我已經打開了。）

（謝謝。到那邊要多久呢？）
D：It takes about 15 min.
（大概15分鐘。）
