This is all about ways of thinking. The most important thing to remember is that there are times that ‘mindset’ and ‘perspective’ can be used in the same way, but ‘perspective’ has a wider range of meanings. Let’s look at this a bit more closely.

Examples
From my perspective, it’s best if I leave early. From my manager’s perspective, it’s better that I do more work.

From a student’s perspective, tests can be very stressful. From a teacher’s perspective, they can be very useful.

Another way that we use ‘perspective’ is as an uncountable noun to mean ‘balance’ and ‘fairness’. We might say that to make good judgements, you need to have perspective. We mean that you need to take a balanced and fair look at the whole context.
